Photography has been a lifelong passion for me. My love for photography developed while growing up in Eugene, Oregon. As a boy, my family and I often went camping in the Pacific Northwest where I loved to wander through the woods and coastal areas, hiking, and biking on various trails. When I was 14 I got my first camera, and soon after found myself out in nature looking for interesting photographic subjects. Later in life, I decided to take my love of photography into the realm of commercial photography and assisted many top photographers for several years in Los Angeles to learn how to light and photograph a wide range of products. Since 2004, I've worked as a full-time commercial photographer, first in Los Angeles, and currently in Milwaukee Wisconsin. What drives my photography is my love for light and finding ways to interpret both products and natural elements using light in visually compelling ways.
